Tivito's War

Teaser that I put together for an upcoming documentary.

Tivito was a 19 year old kid from El Salvador who was killed in Iraq.

The story is really about his mom and her grief dealing with the loss of her son.

Hopefully, the documentary will make the film fest circut rounds this year.
I've still got some work to do on the film. I'm excited because I'm getting some additional footage from an Editor of the National Newspaper in El Salvador. I found him on You Tube of all places. So, I think the images and the story are really strong.

Thanks to Joe M. for helping me with the film work.

I'll keep you posted.
I shot it right after a finished up at Thunderbird when we were down in El Salvador for a week. So over a year ago. I just haven't had the chance to work on it.
I actually shot most of this in a day.
I chatted with a guy from El Salvador who is also letting me use footage that he's shot in Iraq. So I'm pretty excited about pulling something together. I like to make a teaser it gets me excited to start editing, which is long and time consuming, but fun.

This looks awesome! are you going to send it to sundance? I've read about your documentary in El Salvador. Will you post some footage from that?
I'd like to see both. I'd pay money for a copy, if you could send me one.

There needs to be more documentaries and exposure like this. I'm excited to see the finished product. I hope it makes the rounds in some film festivals or the theatre.

best of luck. Seems like you really like El Salvador. What is you connection there?

Cool video. Is it on You Tube I want to embed it in my site. Or maybe you can send me the file via email.

This looks like a very interesting story. Cool video. Are you using final cut to edit or another software?

keep us posted with additional teasers and updates. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I'm excited to see the final product. How can I get my Chruch group involved in a fund-raiser to help this mother.

I read about Tivito a year or so ago in the newspaper. It is good to see you are doing a story on his life.

Thank you and let me know if I can help. I will contact you through your email.
